Hi, everyone. I hope that all of your healthy and well this is the 50th episode of the podcast. It is so exciting and is definitely coming at the best time. As all of us know, we are all dealing with the coronavirus wherever you are in the world. And so a lot of us are feeling stressed, scared, frustrated, and that also includes me. So I am very happy that this is the 50th episode. And as I stayed in the past, I started this podcast as a passion project when I was in a dark place and I needed something to inspire me again. And so true Crime has always been a fascination for me, and I've always loved the show deadly women. So I decided this was something that I wanted to do. I am glad that I did, and I found my spark again. And along the way I have met some wonderful people. I want to thank all of you for listening to the podcast and for those who are also watching the videos, I appreciate you all so much. And here's to another 50 episodes. The fair sex bomb show bitch Mother girl boss lady are some of the ways that have been used to describe women. Killer is usually not a word that comes to mind. Welcome to the female Killers podcast, where we will explore women who have killed out of revenge, love or just pure evil. What would take a mother to viciously murder her children?  There have been numerous mothers who have murdered their children even in recent times.  What causes a mother to snap?  People usually tend to think that the mother is suffering some type of mental health breakdown that is causing them to distort reality.  This can result in thinking that she is saving her children if she kills them. A Belgian mother murdered her five children when her husband was away.    While studying French and History, Genevieve Lhermitte met Bouchaib Moqadem, who was studying Math and Physics, at the Educational Institute of Social Promotion of the French Community.  Genevieve would graduate, but not Bouchaib. Two years later on September 22, 1990, the two married.  Geneviève Lhermitte married Bouchaïb Moqadem.  He would eventually cut her off from her family and isolate her.  Bochaib could be violent and this caused Genevieve’s mental health to deteriorate.  He wasn't the only man in the house.  There was also Dr. Michel Scharr. They would move into the apartment of Dr. Michel Schaar.  The two men knew each other when Dr. Schaar visited Morocco in the 1980s and met Bouchaib and his family. He helped Bouchaib become a resident of Belgium.  Bouchaib would say that Dr. Schaar was like his adoptive father. Genevieve thought that it was just a temporary living situation so she didn't have any issues with it at first. In 1991, Genevieve became a teacher.  A year later, her daughter Yasmine was born on August 13, 1992.  Dr. Schaar bought a house for the young family and he to live in. Genevieve then gave birth to her second child Nora three years later on February 13, 1995.  After Nora's birth, Genevieve took about two months off work due to postpartum depression. Bouchaib worked for Schaar, and this is in addition to the doctor covering all of their expenses, even vacations. A year later, on April 20, 1997, Genevieve gave birth to her third daughter Miriam. She then had her fourth child on May 20, 1999, Mina. A few years would pass before Genevieve would have her fifth child, a son she named Mehi on August 9, 2003.  Throughout this, Bouchaib would go to Morocco a few times a year. The trips would be weeks to a month.  This caused more tension between the couple. In 2004, Dr. Schaar referred Genevieve to a psychiatrist Dr. Diderick Veldekens. On February 28, 2007, Genevieve mailed two letters: one to her sisters with jewelry, and the other to her friend Valerie. She accused her husband of not understanding her distress. Also, Genevieve wrote that Dr. Shaar was a "the bastard who rotted my life, stole my intimacy with my husband and my children.” After mailing the letters, Genevieve went into a grocery store and shoplifted two knives. Seven-year old Mina was the first of her children that Genevieve murdered.  Genevieve would say that "her face which becomes all purple when I strangle her." After strangling Mina, she cut her daughter's throat.  Next, was three-year old Mehdi.  Genevieve describes how he kicked and scream while she strangled him.  After Mehdi died and she slashed his throat, Genevieve went after her nine-year old daughter Myriam. She told the girl that she had a  surprise for her in the office.  Genevieve had Myriam sit in a chair and covered her eyes with a blue hankerchief.  She then knocked Myriam with a marble slab, and then cut her throat. Afterwards, she went to Nora, who was supposedly Dr. Schaar’s favorite.  Genevieve had Nora sit in a chair and came from behind and slit the girl’s throat. With Nora’s blood, she wrote “JUD” on the bathroom mirror.  Later, she would say she was trying to spell “Judas.” Genevieve called for her eldest daughter Yasmine.  When Yasmine came into the office and saw the bloody bodies of her siblings, she was able to dodge the knife.  She tried escaping, but she suffered multiple stab wounds.  Genevieve put four of her children’s bodies in their beds with stuffed toys.  The only body that she moved to another location was Nora.  She was Dr. Schaar’s favorite, so she put her body in his bathroom.  Afterwards, she tried falling on her knife, but realized that she wasn’t going to die.  She then wrote on her front door with a red marker “Call the police.” Genevieve would say, "It was with a lot of violence that I did this, with a lot of cruelty. They must have been in pain. They must have said 'what is mom doing? At that time, I didn't want to hurt them.”In October 2007, Genevivve tried hanging herself with a rope and scarf, but she failed in her attempt.  During the trial, Geneviève said that even after a year, she did not understand why she had murdered her children one by one. She said while in tears, "I acted the opposite of what I thought."Before the trial, Genevieve filed for a divorce and got it.  Bouchaib at first appealed it, but then withdrew.  On December 8, 2008, the trial began. Genevieve testified during the trial, and she said that her roles as wife and mother was disrupted by Dr. Michel Schaar. When asked why she laid Nora's body in Dr. Schaar's bathroom, Genevieve responded, "I wanted to hurt him. Nora was his favorite." The trial lasted two weeks.  During the trial, psychiatriasts said that during their assessment, Genevieve Lhermitte was found to not be sound of mind. Their recommendation was that she be sent to a psychiatric hospital.  However, the jury did not even consider that option and sentenced her to life in prison.  After the trial, Bouchaib had to pay for Genevieve's bill of 72,743 euros, or $93,000.  He would eventually remarry and have a child. Genevieve also sued her psychiatrist Dr. Veldekens.  Her allegations were that if he would have seen her while she was in a "disturbed state," then she never would have murdered her children. The court dismissed the charges stating it was "irrelevant."  In 2019, a journalist found that she had remarried an inmate in the Prison de Mons.  This is similar to many criminals, past and present, who have married while in prison.  It was also revealed that Genevieve would be transferring from the prison she was currently in,  Forest-Berkendael prison, to a psychiatric hospital of her choice. As of today, she has been transferred.  Genevieve
